Goodman, distributed at The Designers Foundry is a vibrant revival of the iconic Gesh Ortega Roman 275 by Gerhard Schwekendiek. Designed by Ethan Nakache over the last four-plus years; it breathes new life into this distinguished typeface while honouring its rich heritage and timeless appeal.

Goodman is driven by a deep commitment to preserving the essence of the original design and selectively infusing it with contemporary versatility for modern typesetting. The design of Goodman Italics has been further refined to accentuate their graceful nature.

At the heart of Goodman is its captivating emphasis on rhythm. A defining characteristic is the interconnected serifs of its stems, which connect to create a distinctive ellipse reminiscent of the elegant curve in the letter “n.” This subtle yet deliberate design choice adds sophistication to each character, lending a unique visual identity to the typeface.
